Question by : I am having a tetanus injection soon but i have eczema. Im allergic to certain types of food?
I took my blood test when i was just 4 years old i found out i was allergic to milk,garlic...... Now, i just eat about anything . sometimes i get some reactions like itchiness. However, the food i eat is sort of a mix of what i couldn't eat when i was 4 years. So what do i do? I am going to school to get my jab

Having a tetanus shot should not cause any severe reactions. In fact, you may have already had tetanus shots when you were younger since immunization is recommended for all infants and children before starting school. I would however mention your concerns to the doctor or nurse prior to having the injection.

A tetanus shot protects against a bacteria, called Clostridium tetani. Tetanus is a serious disease that can affect the nervous system causing severe muscle spasms and locking of the jaw, hence the name lockjaw. Since the muscles that are used for breathing are also affected, breathing can become difficult or in some cases impossible which can prove fatal without medical intervention
